Hydromulching for WA Civil & Mining Projects

Surface protection for exposed soil and sand on construction, mining and infrastructure sites across Western Australia.

We select mulch and binder applications to suit your soil, exposure, access and required protection period.

Protecting exposed ground

Hydromulching sprays a mixture of organic fibre mulch, water and soil binders onto prepared ground. The surface layer helps reduce wind-blown dust and sand, protects soil from rainfall impact and can help limit sediment loss as part of a wider erosion control plan.

Seed can be included where specified for vegetation establishment. Growth depends on the seed mix, season, soil, watering and follow-up care.

Treatment life depends on the product, application rate, preparation, weather, runoff and disturbance. Drainage, concentrated flows and traffic may need additional controls.

Planning the right application

Suitable applications

  • Exposed construction and mine-site surfaces
  • Stockpiles, loose sand and laydown areas
  • Batters and embankments
  • Roadworks and infrastructure corridors
  • Temporary surface protection

Planning your application

  • Assess soil type, slope, wind exposure and runoff
  • Confirm the required protection period
  • Agree the mix and application rate for the specification
  • Consider environmental requirements and whether seed is needed

Site requirements

  • Suitable equipment access and a defined work area
  • Water supply arrangements confirmed before mobilisation
  • Ground preparation agreed before application
  • Work coordinated around weather, traffic and other trades

How we work with your site team

  1. 1. Define the scopeShare your location, approximate area, site conditions and timing. We clarify access, specifications and treatment requirements.
  2. 2. Plan and applyWe agree the treatment and coordinate application with your team around site readiness and weather.
  3. 3. Agree follow-upDocumentation, handover and any monitoring or follow-up requirements are agreed upfront.

Our WA site services are supported by environmental planning capability, with advice on complementary erosion control and revegetation where needed.
